I am perplexed why no one has addressed the frac pit on Hillard. It is shown on the Town's site as "Frac Pond currently under excavation."

What happened to Flower Mound being a closed loop system?

We have been told the pond is not for flowback or drilling waste water. It is to hold fresh water for the fracing.
Flower Mound does require the closed loop system.
If you see anything happening in the future that appears to be different than what we have been told, please let us know and contact the town too.

In my opinion, this is a poor judgement call on Flower Mounds Town staff to allow the "Frac Pond" verbiage to describe a "Fresh Water Pond." There is obviously a reason industry would want to call a fresh water pond a frac pond. This just appears to be another way for an industry loophole.
