DFW Fair Share Plan Resolution On Agenda For Flower Mound

Monday night, the Flower Mound Town Council will consider approval of a resolution for the Downwinders At Risk Fair Share For Clean Air Plan.

The State of Texas must submit a new clean air plan by the end of 2011. TCEQ has made some cuts but still needs to cut over 140 tons of VOC's per day. The Fair Share for Clean Air asks the TCEQ to look at the gas drilling industry to cut the additional VOC's needed.

Thanks to Jeff Whittaker for bringing attention to this. We took some of his wording for this post.

The State of Texas must submit a new clean air plan by the end of this year. The Fair Share for Clean Air asks the TCEQ to look to the gas drilling industry to cut the additional VOC's to reach over 140 tons cut per day. I have contacted the Mayor and several members of Council to request Flower Mound pass The Fair Share For Clean Air resolution.

Jeff Whittaker is a hard working honest community volunteer.
His opponent can't tell the truth if her life depended on it.
Her new flyer says "my opponent and His Supporters Have Misstated My Political Affiliations"

In this non-partisan race her party affiliation doesn’t matter but it is troubling that she has gone to such an extent to lie about it.

I am a democrat and proud of it. I guess she feels the need to lie because over 80% of Flower Mound is Republican.
She is a typical politician.....telling people what she thinks they want to hear.

Regarding the political party link - Good find anonymous 7:45pm! I thought we heard that Kendra was such a good researcher. You would think before she circulated a flyer denying she's a democrat she would at least google herself to see what Denton County has documented. She could have simply said the race is non-partisan which most voters would have understood and appreciated. Instead she tries to cultivate conservatives, who she condescendingly perceives as ideologs not interested in the issues of the campaign, by lying to them. Is there any group for which she won't change her position to get votes?

The election is over and Kendra Stephenson won fair and square. Let's move on and do the right thing by supporting resolutions and bills that protect our health and quality of life.

...and since Kendra is such good friends with Roy Morriss she can start by convincing him NOT to lobby against her all of the time.
