Yesterday afternoon Mayor Smith was spotted placing her campaign signs all over the office park on 2499 (near Spinks) where Cherokee Horn is located. As long-time blog readers will recall, Cherokee Horn was the good folks that introduced me to urban gas drilling with their proposal to place a dozen wells in the Northshore Club--some as close as 500 feet from my house. (Many thanks as I needed a new hobby and so I've spent the past 2-1/2 years working to educate Flower Mound residents that "yes, in fact gas wells could be drilled 500 feet from your house!")
Back to the signs....Assuming Ms. Smith had permission to place the signs on this property, we can only assume that she has been endorsed by YET ANOTHER GAS DEVELOPER!!
Hmm...maybe those signs really weren't specific to Cherokee Horn. There's a church in the back of that property. So maybe ...???

Don't forget that it was Cherokee Horn who leased up all of the property around Hilliard Field. (They've since sold their interests to Titan.)

Ah yes, Cherokee Horn the company that said "We will being our drilling in about 6 months" ---- that was over 2 years ago. Having a problem getting those expired leases resigned, aren't ya Cherokee? We did as you suggested 2 years ago, we educated ourselves, guess what, you lost support since then and losing more every day.
Hey Mr. Hilliard. Funny you didn't mention that you were the same Hilliard from Hilliard field in your letter. Oh yeah and you forgot to mention that someday soon, you want to drill up to 10 wells there too. We got your number. I would like to return your letter to you so you can stick it where the sun don't shine.
