News from Flower Mound Cares Petition Group

Today, the FM Cares Petition Group will be presenting the petition that represents 15% of qualified voters. This petition sends a loud and strong message to Mayor Smith and the Town Council that many of us Flower Mound residents disagree with the decision made on Jan 21.

If you would like to join them, be at the Flower Mound Town Hall at 1:45 pm today.

This is why Flower Mound is such a great community. It is amazing how many residents had the courage to step up, speak out and fight to protect their town.

Courage is refusing to quit even when you're intimidated by impossibility. It's choosing a goal, sticking with it, and finding solutions to the problems.
Courage is thinking big, aiming high, and shooting far. It's taking a dream and doing anything, risking everything, and stopping at nothing to it make it a reality.

This is amazing. Wow, they did it and overcame so much to do it.
My hope is that other Barnett Shale communities will be inspired by this and do the same. More voices send a louder message.

Kinda shoots that whole anti-drilling "label" now doesn't it?

Go tell the Lt. Col., she is un-American, Shiloh clan.

This group is amazing. They rose above everything the opposition threw at them and just kept going. They turned in 2x as many signatures as the number of people who voted in the last election. Ginger Simonson is my new favorite person.

I've always known the Army has produced some of the finest leaders in the country. Thankfully, one of the best decided to settle in Flower Mound.
