Titan/Hilliard preparing emergency route

This morning Titan Operating began preparing the original emergency route for the Hilliard Field. This route will be the only access road in and out of Shadow Ridge Middle School.

In case of an accident that requires evacuation, the buses needed to evacuate students and staff from Shadow Ridge Middle School would share the access road with emergency response equipment.

Isn't gas drilling pretty? All those beautiful trees gone just like that!

Who cares about school kids when you can make a bunch of money and screw your neighbors at the same time?

Aberdeen is not the only way into or out of Shadow Ridge. There is a second drive on the back side of Shadow Ridge that connects to the bus drive for Bluebonnet.

The second drive is very narrow and shared with Bluebonnet. So in the case of an evacuation, you would have both schools trying to use the same narrow drive? Not good.
I want to know why Mr. Hilliard's street, Sherry Drive, was not considered for either the major route or an emergency route?

there is a rule 11 agreement between the town and titan that addresses changing the primary and secondary access roads to be more safe. the problem is that they have to wait for txdot to approve the change. the question is: why are they moving forward before this change is made? shouldn't they wait until they can do it right the first time? shouldn't the town have waited until the changes were approved from txdot BEFORE they approved the application for titan to drill? i have requested a copy of the rule 11 agreement from the town so we can all see for ourselves the DEAL made between titan and the town. so far, they are dragging their feet to release it to me. terry welch has sent my request to the attorney general arguing that the town doesn't want to release it. it could take several weeks before the attorney general makes a decision on whether or not i can have a copy. hmmmm..... signed legal document between two parties, sounds like public information to me....

What is this, a Town Council meeting with Mr. Dixon presiding. Don't ask questions you already know the answer to. :)

What Town Council meeting with Mr. Dixon presiding are you talking about?

He doesn't actually preside over any, he just always asks questions he already knows the answer to.
